Dear Reconciling United Methodists,
With you, we are crying out. For too long, our church has broken its vow to be in ministry for and with all persons, including LGBTQ persons. We cannot keep quiet while unjust laws deny the sacred worth of God’s children. Will you cry out for justice?
With you, RMN is poised to increase the pressure on the Church to “do the right thing,” follow the inclusive Gospel of Jesus, and ignore the unjust policies of our church until they can be changed. Because of you, RMN has deployed a regional organizer in each U.S. jurisdiction to galvanize United Methodist congregations, campus ministries, Sunday school classes, and United Methodist Women units in publicly declaring their policies of welcome. Your support has empowered us to increase RMN’s communications capacity to share stories of Biblical Obedience with our church and world, such as Bishop Talbert officiating at the wedding in Alabama of Joe Openshaw and Bobby Prince.
The moment is now. Will you make one final donation before the year is out? Make your gift to RMN before midnight on New Year’s Eve:
“If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.” Your faithfulness, dedication, and financial gifts cry out the truth of God’s love for all people. Your donation will make a world of difference, and I will make sure to inform you of the difference it makes. Thank you for your support!
