The Stephen Ministers of Memorial Drive UMC serve those who, in response to a particular life struggle, seek to regain their emotional, psychological, or spiritual equilibrium. Recognizing that bias and exclusion harm many persons within our congregations and beyond, we seek to serve and empower those in need of our confidential care. We welcome, affirm, and serve anyone regardless of race, age, nationality, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, marital status, education, denomination, or faith. Our hope is that we might “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until ALL of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12-13) We rejoice in the mission and dedication of the Reconciling Ministries Network and are humbled to join in this holy work.
