Neighborhood Church in Candler Park sees itself and our world as members of a global community of neighbors who tend to one another. We are a community of friends, families, advocates, spiritual seekers, emotional baggage handlers, social justice warriors, leaders, outcasts, locals, and transplants. We are an inclusive crowd that affirms all people as a part of the beloved community.
We reject evil, injustice, and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves. We particularly resist the oppression of racism, white supremacy, and hetero-supremacy in our church and world.
We work for justice and to be an anti-racist community; and we welcome, embrace, and celebrate our siblings and neighbors who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, asexual, queer, of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions. Folk of every citizenship status and national origin are celebrated as beloved bearers of the divine image and are joyfully welcome among us.
For real. For real. For real.
We are all love – no B.S.
Our church is built to embody the love of Christ in an inclusive, diverse, and wall-shattering way.
