First United Methodist Church of Moorestown seeks to live the motto of The United Methodist Church: “Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors.” Following the example of Jesus, FUMC of Moorestown believes that living this motto means dedicating ourselves to social justice and service. We affirm the scriptural message that all people are created in the image of God, and as beloved children of God, all are worthy of God’s love and grace. We celebrate our human family’s differences, including diversity of race, ethnicity, age, religious background, life experience, economic status, marital status, family configuration, physical and developmental ability, education, sexual orientation, and gender identity. As Jesus welcomes each of us, we welcome the full inclusion of all people in the life and ministries of FUMC to worship, love, serve, and grow.

Proud to be a member!
Congratulations to the Loving Christians of Moorestown FUMC.my Church Home for 81 years. Today is a new day in the Church at large and we must keep it relevant and yet a Sacred Sanctuary where generations to come can find hope in the future
Blessed to be a member of this church!
So beautifully written, Kerry. This issue is causing such division and conflict here in the south, even in our town. I appreciate what FUMC has done to research, discuss, and even find a way to reach consensus.
In every church I have ever served I tried my best to let it be known that all were welcome. I am in full agreement with the church’s statement above, and am proud of their courage to take this stand at such a challenging time for United Methodism.
