Building an Inclusive Church Workshop (Madison, WI)
September 19 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pmFree
Do you want to help increase the number of Reconciling churches, communities and campus ministries? Do you want to revitalize your Reconciling community’s witness? Join us for a free training designed to help participants coach ministries and churches through the Reconciling process. Those from Reconciling churches will have a session on deepening engagement and creative witness. The training will include skills building around topics common in the Reconciling process including: intersectionality, complex identities, framing, steps of the Reconciling process, graceful engagement, and conflict management. Participants who desire to become Reconciling process coaches for their church or other congregations will be invited to confirm this at the workshop. Our workshop facilitator is the Rev. Dr. Izzy Alvaran (RMN Reconciling Process Organizer).
WHAT: This free training will empower Reconciling United Methodists to shepherd churches/communities through the Reconciling process, and explore creative witness for existing Reconciling communities.
WHEN: 10AM – 4PM (lunch/snacks will be provided – we welcome donations on-site)
